EPISODE 1: SEPTEMBER 1975
In their first-ever episode, Samira Ahmed and Graham Kibble-White investigate a selection of UK TV shows that were also launching this month, albeit 50 years ago…
The BBC1 hospital drama, Angels; Thames Television’s spooky anthology series for children, Shadows (plus a look at BBC2’s similarly occult-themed Leap in the Dark); BBC2 comedies Fawlty Towers and The Growing Pains Of PC Penrose; Samira’s favourite, Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Space:1999; and Graham’s favourite, Yorkshire Television’s glam rock-infused Animal Kwackers.

Great first episode. I thought I was a space 1999 superfan but Samira is next level!
Hi Pete – thanks for taking the time to drop by and leave a comment. Few people can match Samira’s love for Space: 1999!
Samira might have a Space 1999 uniform but did she buy it’s Season 1 on VHS, DVD and then Blu-ray? Trufans want to know… 😉
Graham’s volume is problematic, being significantly lower than Samira or the clips. Otherwise, enjoyable and knowledgeable TV nerd stuff.
The first series of Space 1999 was excellent but they lost the plot in the second series when they ditched Barry Morse and introduced charcaters we had never seen before.
